The first experiment with a computer chip implant was accomplished in 1998 by Kevin Warwick, a british scientist. The experiment was used to open doors and switch on lights. After that, some people started to implant microchip into their hands. Microchip implant is an indentification device and can be implanted in the human body containing information about the person.

Amal Graafstra asked a doctor to put the microchip in his left hand and used the implant to open the door of his home, open his car and log on to his computer. Verichip or Verimed was the name given to the device, that was approved in 2004 by United State of America to put in the market for specific guidelines. Nonetheless, in 2007, it was reported that the implant had caused in laboratory animals and one time later the device was removed from the market.
According to some reports, a several hospitals accepted verichip scanner and several doctors agreed to deploy the microchips in their patients, but the company that makes verichip was processed by making false statements about the acceptance of the hospitals. After that the company was closed and nobody knows what happened to their employees or theis microchips.
For the future, there could be a GPS microchip that shows in real time the location, altitude, latitude of the person, however such a device already isn't possible at the moment. Many scientists already think that these devices can be used by authorities to locate missing people or fugitives but the use
of the device is much discussed since there may be situations of misuse as criminals, who might use them to harass their victims.
Many groups, such as religious is discussing about the microchip implant would be the fulfillment of the mark of the beast. Already there is a prohibiton in Islan of changes in the body as in the countries of Islan nothing can involve changing body. California and after a while Georgia issued senate bill 362,which prohibits employees to force anyone to get a microchip. It was authorized, but voluntary implant microchips placed by a physician and regulated by a medical board of georgia.
Some researchers who are against the implant, cite some studies that some laboratory rats developed cancerous tumors and this would likely happen to humans maybe in the future to develop some type of implant needed to facilitate the llives of many people, however today the implant have brought many ploblems of religion, health, political and ethnic. And it will be difficult to develop something that insn't criticized in a negative way.
